Rep. Frances Cavenaugh is serving her 5th term in the Arkansas House. She represents District 30 which includes portions of Lawrence, Craighead, and Greene counties.
For the 95th General Assembly, Rep. Cavenaugh chairs the House Revenue and Taxation Committee. Rep. Cavenaugh also serves on the House City, County, and Local Affairs Committee and the Joint Budget Committee.
Rep. Cavenaugh is the Chief Financial Officer for Cavenaugh Auto Group in Walnut Ridge. She has previously served as president of the Arkansas Independent Automobile Dealers Association.
She is the president of The Children’s Shelter of Northeast Arkansas, a temporary home for children who have been displaced through no fault of their own. She also serves on the Lawrence Memorial Hospital Foundation Board and the Delta Symphony Orchestra Board.
Rep. Cavenaugh was named Woman of the Year in 2012 by the Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce. The chamber has also selected her for the Community Service Award in 2010 and her business was selected Industry of the Year in 2006. She has previously served as president of the Chamber.
Rep. Cavenaugh is the step-mother of 7 grown children. She resides in Walnut Ridge with her husband, Donald.
